Frequently asked questions
The Transfer SL is optimized for endurance applications where decreased weight equals increased performance. Transfer SL weighs as much as 100 grams less than the same length Transfer, but it is also limited to a max of 150mm of drop as that is sufficient for most endurance applications. If you want more than 150mm of drop then the regular Transfer might be a better choice for you.
Transfer SL is optimized for endurance applications and most bikes in this category feature a 27.2, 30.9 or 31.6mm seatpost, and most riders in this category do find 150mm of drop sufficient for the type of terrain most often encountered.
The FOX 1x dropper lever is ideal for use on flat bar bikes, and the FOX drop bar dropper lever is ideal for use on drop bar bikes.
Two-position internals allowed us to reduce weight substantially without any significant downsides as endurance riders tend to either want the saddle at full height for efficient power transfer or all the way down to help navigate a technical section.
Transfer SL should be serviced approximately every 125 hours of riding time.
