New Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 LE Features FOX iQS

Yamaha just introduced its 2021 Wolverine RMAX 1000 Limited Edition (LE), which highlights FOX Intelligent Quick Switch (iQS) technology, giving the driver total suspension control on the fly from inside the cabin. The three choices include Comfort, Medium, or Firm, and are controlled by a Bosch ECU and IP67-rated components – an industry-first on a stock UTV – for proven off-road reliability and performance in any terrain, wet or dry.

According to Yamaha, the all-new advanced and heavy-duty suspension is designed to provide maximum articulation in low-speed situations, a balanced ride feeling when trail riding, and the highest level of bottoming resistance with a higher-speed damping-feel when maneuvering the Wolverine RMAX 1000 LE. The wide-arc A-arms paired with FOX 2.0 iQS shocks deliver 14.2-inches of travel up front and 16.9-inches of travel in the rear.

FOX iQS puts the suspension settings in the hands of the driver. By choosing the preferred damping levels from a switch in the cockpit, there's no more getting out of the vehicle to adjust your damping settings.

For a premium experience in a wide variety of terrain, LE RMAX 1000 models feature FOX iQS shock technology, putting suspension damping setting adjustments in the cockpit, allowing drivers to choose preferred levels manually and on-the-fly by toggling a blue-backlit three-way rocker switch on the dash.

Sport, Trail and Crawl Modes

The Wolverine RMAX 1000 LE is powered by a new 999cc, DOHC, eight-valve, parallel twin engine, with the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) optimizing power delivery for a variety of situations through an all-new three-position D-Mode. The Sport Mode is ideal for wide open trails, sand, and spirited driving. Trail Mode is perfect for a fun, relaxed ride or taking on the trails with smooth acceleration and linear throttle response. For those adventure seekers, the Crawl Mode can take on slow technical situations, like rock crawling, with ease.

According to Yamaha, in combination with Yamaha’s Ultramatic and On-Command systems, the Wolverine RMAX2 1000 LE delivers the perfect amount of engine braking by operating the throttle in accordance to the user's selected D-Mode setting.

The Wolverine RMAX 1000 LE frame is strengthened for the most solid and durable feel yet, as the chassis was designed with the best suspension in mind and provides extra rigidity for extreme terrain. The wheelbase had been optimized to provide a balanced feel and provides the best contact-to-ground feel for optimum handling in any terrain.

Like all of Yamaha's UTVs and full-size ATVs, the Wolverine RMAX 1000 Limited Edition is assembled Yamaha's state-of-the-art factory in Newnan, Georgia.
