Like any classic mountain biker, FOX athlete Peter Jamison has always had a soft spot for older Toyota Tundra trucks. After years of exploring the desert, hauling bikes, tools, and gear to remote riding zones, Peter has learned that having a capable vehicle is just as important as having a reliable bike.
Recently, he made the switch to a 2001 Toyota Tundra as his go-to adventure rig; a truck with plenty of character, but also one that needed some attention to keep up with the demands of his riding lifestyle.

Old Toyota’s pair well with Peter’s new bikes.
Like any older trucks, years of use start to show. Parts wear out; components need replacing, and keeping things running becomes part of the ownership experience. For Peter, that’s part of the appeal. Rather than chasing the newest truck on the market, he’s focused on bringing this one back to life and making it better than ever.

As this truck is his only vehicle, simplicity, durability, and reliability were the priorities. Instead of overcomplicating the build, Peter focused on upgrades that would improve the life of his truck where it matters most, starting with a full bolt-on, FOX Performance 2.0 suspension setup.
Designed to handle everything from daily driving to rough desert roads and loaded-up adventures, the FOX Performance 2.0 shocks bring improved control, comfort, and comfort, control, and confidence without interfering with OE suspension geometry or sacrificing the rugged dependability Peter looks for.
“I like simple things that get the job done,” says Peter. “These FOX Performance 2.0’s will get the job done, day after day.”

Tundra and Performance 2.0’s: Good pairing...
For Peter, this build isn’t about creating the flashiest truck in the parking lot. It’s about building a dependable tool that can keep up with the adventures ahead, a truck that carries his bikes, supports his lifestyle, and continues to earn its place one ride at a time.
